somebody should write an essay comparing and contrasting tina from bob’s burgers and meg from family guy and explain why tina hit the mark for respectfully portraying the awkward teenage years and why meg is a huge fucking insensitive joke that isn’t even funny

Tina is a character, Meg is a punchline.

Fred Rogers Acceptance Speech - 1997

Our neighbor didn’t die, he was just needed someplace else.

He took a moment that was about recognizing him and turned it into a moment to recognize everyone who was there and everyone who made it possible for him to do what he does. If you want a perfect example of why he is so fondly remembered and such a great person, it’s tough to find a better one than this.

Not gonna lie, I teared up reading this. He touched on the core of humanity, and I feel similarly about those I have crossed paths with in this life. Thank you, Mr. Rogers.

So I was typing body modification on youtube, because I’m fucking obsessed by it, and I came across this woman. They call her “La Mujer Vampiro” which is spanish for Vampire Woman… I think. Well anyways, and I saw a whole documentary about her and how she came across the idea of being modified, etc. But what inspired me is that she had a rough childhood, as a little girl in Mexico. Then got married at 17 with a man that beated the living fucking shit out of her giving her lifelong scars and making her unconcious sometimes. She has four children, who she alsolutely loves. She divorced from that asshole and is now happily married to a man who treats her like royalty. According to her every single modification she has done means something. How strong she was even when she was down. This truly inspired me and showed me that no matter what your past is, or the way you look, you will always find happiness. I hope I meet this woman someday, because not only I fucking love the way she looks but her story inspires me.
